Nothing OS 2.0 is getting launched later this year and it will be the primary OS for Nothing Phones which will bring enhancements in the visual and functional aspects of the phones.
In a recent interview with XDA-Developers, Mladen M. Hoyss, the creative director of Nothing Software, shared insights about Nothing OS 2.0. Hoyss has said the company is working to improve the OS in terms of visual design, as they believe they have the perfect opportunity and momentum to do so. The upcoming Nothing OS 2.0 will also prioritize “functional aesthetics,” a concept rooted in data science that aims to present large amounts of data in a visually appealing and easily understandable manner.
Hoyss emphasized that the company’s goal with Nothing OS is to enable users to be productive and efficient and also create a seamless integration of productivity and entertainment within the Nothing ecosystem. The Nothing ecosystem will constitute all the Nothing Products and these need to be seamlessly integrated. Additionally, Nothing OS 2.0 will continue to be based on the Android platform, but with enhancements that aim to improve user productivity and overall ease of use.
Also, he said the improvements in terms of customization options for the Home screen is coming which will make the OS visually more appealing to users. However, Hoyss did not provide extensive information regarding the specific rollout plans for Nothing OS 2.0, but it is reasonable to expect its release in the summer.
