With a new year comes a new smartphone launch, and we expect OnePlus to be among the first companies to launch their first 2023 flagship device- the One Plus 11 which is supposed to be build on the back of the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 10T in some interesting ways, with a slight design refresh, an all-new processor, and much more.
The OnePlus 11 5G is confirmed to launch in India on February 7,2023. The device is expected to launch in China on January 4 2023.
Without further ado, let’s look at everything we know so far about the next flagship phone- the One Plus 11.
But before that drumrolls, please !!!!!!
What we know so far
From the recent leaks, it seems the new phone is coming with the above design. In other words, be prepared for a round design.
Partnering with notable leaker OnLeaks on Twitter, tech site GadgetGang revealed an “official press release” image of the upcoming OnePlus 11. It shares a similar design to the renders from the aforementioned leak, but this time it shows off two color options: Forest Emerald and Volcanic Black. No other colors were shown, but OnePlus may show off a few more options when its next flagship is officially revealed.
Instead of the squared-off camera housing on the OnePlus 10 Pro, it appears the OnePlus 11 will have a circular camera bump with three lenses and a LED flash spaced like a square. Plus, you can expect the “Hasselblad” logo in the center this time.
According to the report, the camera array will retain its usual black look and may use “glossy material” to make up the bump. As for color options, expect Forest Emerald and Volcanic Black. No other colors were shown, but OnePlus may show off a few more options when its next flagship is officially revealed.
As for the front, the leaks state that we can expect a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, with the hole-punch camera appearing at the top-left corner of the screen., and the bezels surrounding the display will be quite minimal. The device will be made out of metal and glass, seemingly, while its display will be curved.
“The alert slider is expected to be making a return.”
The alert slider will be located on the right-hand side, above the power/lock key. That means that the volume buttons will sit on the left side of the phone. The device will be made out of metal and glass, seemingly, while its display will be curved.
Technical Specs
“The specs will be quite powerful, as expected.”
Considering the OnePlus 11 will be the only device in the series, it will be immensely powerful. This will likely be the company’s most powerful device throughout the year, counting in the T series phone that will likely launch in H2 2023. Having said that, its specifications did surface already (see table below).
“The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM”
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel the phone, OnePlus confirmed it. In other words, the OnePlus 11 will be fueled by Qualcomm’s flagship SoC. The phone will pack up to 16GB of RAM, and we’re guessing OnePlus will utilize LPDDR5X RAM here. When it comes to storage, the company will likely offer up to 256GB, or perhaps even 512GB. OnePlus may utilize brand-new UFS 4.0 flash storage, or stick with UFS 3.1. Don’t expect storage expansion to be a part of the offering, though.
“100W charging is also expected”
A 5,000mAh battery was also mentioned, as expected. When it comes to OnePlus flagships, you always expect really fast charging. Well, things won’t exactly be different this time around. The OnePlus 11 is said to offer 100W fast wired charging (confirmed by certification), compared to 80W charging the OnePlus 10 Pro offered. The OnePlus 10T still trumps that, but 100W is blazing fast. We’re also expecting 50W wireless charging to be a part of the package, and reverse wireless charging as well.
“Hasselblad-tuned cameras for the 11”
What about the cameras? Well, the phone is said to utilize three cameras on the back. A 50-megapixel main, wide-angle camera (Sony’s IMX890 sensor) will be included. That camera will be backed by a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (Sony’s IMX581 sensor), and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera (Sony’s IMX709 sensor, 2x optical zoom). Hasselblad will be included in the picture as well, as the company will help with the color science, and hopefully various other aspects of the photo-taking experience.
Chances are it will cost less than $1,000
What about the phone’s price tag? Well, the OnePlus 10 Pro’s base model was priced at $899, and it’s quite possible OnePlus will keep the OnePlus 11 in the same lane. We’re expecting a price tag of around $800-$900 for the device. In fact, the company may keep the exact same price as the OnePlus 10 Pro.
That’s all for now.
