Whatsapp Will Soon Let You Send HD images to users.

Whatsapp is revealing a lot of new features in recent times and now users will be able to share HD images on both Android and iOS platforms.

According to a report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now making the feature live for select beta testers and this latest feature is included in the WhatsApp beta for iOS version 23.11.0.76 and WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.12.13.

As depicted in the screenshot provided, the option to send HD-quality images will be there at the top, next to the crop icon. When selected, the image will display an “HD” watermark in the lower left corner to denote it is an HD image.

However, there are some limitations as a little bit of compression will be added to large-sized images. WhatsApp will maintain the aspect ratio of the image in its full resolution. Additionally, the Standard option will be enabled by default, so you will need to manually enable the HD option each time you share an image in the App

It is important to know that WhatsApp already allows users to send larger files up to 2GB in size, but this capability is specifically related to images and not other files.
