Nothing has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of its premium smartphone, the Phone (2), in the global market. The company, led by Carl Pei, is also planning to release the device in the Indian market soon. In a tweet accompanied by a teaser, Nothing has revealed that the Phone (2) will be launched during the summer of 2023. With the summer season already underway, it suggests that the device may hit the market in the coming months.

The tweet also emphasized the word “Premium,” indicating that Nothing might be venturing into the flagship smartphone segment with its second variant. This suggests that the Phone (2) may come with a higher price tag compared to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone (1).
While specific details about the Phone (2) are scarce, the teaser hints at a continuation of Nothing’s unique and distinctive design approach, featuring lights and geometric patterns reminiscent of the first-generation Nothing Phone. The teaser also reveals the presence of a red-colored light, adding to the intrigue. As the launch date approaches, Nothing is expected to disclose more information about the device’s specifications and features.
It is worth noting that Nothing recently released its first 2nd generation product, the Nothing Ear (2), which was a pair of earphones. If the company follows a similar pricing strategy for the Phone (2), we can anticipate a significant increase in price compared to the initial Nothing Phone (1). The Ear (2) was launched at a price of Rs 9,999, whereas the Ear (1) initially debuted at Rs 4,999 but later saw a price hike.
So Nothing may follow the same footsteps, in releasing the Nothing Phone 2 with an increased price and better features.
