Hey guys back with another video from my Addicted Blogging channel in this video i will be telling you guys how you can get google maps in Amazfit GTR 2e not only google maps but how you can get this type of custom notifications regarding the location and distance in your Amazfit GTR 2e. So let’s start so to get the notification alerts regarding google maps you need to download one app which is available in the play store known as the Amazfit maps. So this app is there on the play store and you can go to play store and check for this app this app is a really great app for getting google maps for the Amazfit devices so let’s see the app which is there for Amazfit watches and the name of the app is this one navigator for Amazfit Gtr and Pace and others this is the app which you need to download and this app can help you to get the google maps custom notifications and everything on your amazon GTR 2e. So once downloaded what you need to do is you need to just go to settings and here you need to select the Amazfit GTR series watches section that is this Amazfit gtr 2 and 2a option here and click on this and after that you will be requiring to give the notification access so go to the notification access option and here make sure you have allowed the Amazfit watches to get the notifications whichever are required for the google maps to display on your Amazfit Gtr 2e. After that also you can change the unit of measure so here you can change and select whichever measurement option you want to show on your watch so i will keep it as kilometer and here notification option notification options you can select distance to notify display options and navigation type so distance to notify is nothing but when your watch will get a notification whenever you will be closer to the nearby location so if you are nearby in a location like 10 meter then the watch will get a notification so you can adjust it according to your convenience and in the display option you can select whichever notification you want to receive so you want to receive the notification for address distance remaining time remaining arrive time anything like that directly on your Amazfit Gtr 2e and any navigation type you can select whichever navigation you want to use to get a notification. So right now walk and card is supported as the navigation tag so i will recommend you to select both of them so that you will get a notification whenever you will use either of them in your google maps and after that you can also select the language so language should be English and after that the dark mode you can enable or not and hide background service notifications so this app in order to work needs to run in the background and whenever it will be running on the background the android will give you a notification like service working on background so you can disable that by clicking on here so after you have configured all the settings just you need to turn it on and once you have turned it on you just need to come to google maps here.
So the steps are really really straightforward and simple so once you are in the google maps you need to select the location wherever you want to commute so i am selecting any random location nearby i have just selected this location and after that you need to just click on start and once you click on start you will be getting the notification regarding the directions and updates so where i need to go and from where i need to start it will show any notification so it is giving me the direction towards where i need to go right now and in this watch you will be receiving all the notification regarding the directions nearby location and whenever you need to go left or right you will get notifications on your watch itself so in this way you can get important notifications and updates and it can be really useful if you are on a bike or like on a car and you don’t have this mobile in front of you then you can use your watch only to get a notification and to figure out your way towards the location where you want to go so this is one way you can get the location updates and notifications regarding google maps via the Amazfit maps app another way you can also use to get in google maps and notification updates is definitely by the notify app so the Notify app is an important app for Amazfit watches and this is a third party app which can be really useful if you are having an Amazfit watch and want to do some tips and tricks on them so this is the notify app and once you are in notify app need to come to the last option here and here you will get the option of maps so here you need to just enable the maps option.
And in the maps option you will be getting a lot of other options also like there is the option to keep the band screen on until you dismiss the notification and this way you can get a lot of more updates for the notify app in the custom title and custom text you can enable this on which will help you to get all types of direction updates and estimated minutes estimated distance and everything on the Amazfit Gtr 2e directly so here also in the custom text you can receive a lot of text notifications on your Amazfit Gtr 2e and i will recommend you to enable everything because that will be very useful for you to locate the destination where you want to go after that there are also other options like any custom notification you can change the icon which will be showing whenever you will be arriving left or arriving right or giving you all the direction updates you can choose other icons to display and also you can change the title which will be displaying in your notification and there is another option also by which you can transfer enter google maps into your Amazfit Gtr 2e so let’s see how these direction updates work and then i will be showing how you can transfer the total google maps onto your Amazfit Gtr 2e. s
So here again i am into the Google Maps and i will set a location and will see whether i am receiving the updates on my Amazfit Gtr 2e so here there are no notification now i will be starting the direction updates from the google maps and let’s see how i am getting a notification in the Amazfit Gtr 2e so if i go to the notification updates you can see this time it is showing a lot more of the location updates and directions here.
So you can see it is showing me when to depart which is a really really great useful thing if you are getting this type of update on your watch and also it updates the notifications frequently so that you will be getting all type of direction updates on your watch itself now let’s see how we can transfer the total map onto your Amazfit Gtr 2e. So to get the google maps entirely on your Amazfit Gtr 2e you just need to come to notify app again and in notify app again you need to come to this last icon and go to this maps option and here you just need to enable everything and there is two way you can do that you just need to come to this picture option and in the picture option you will get the option of simple direction or full screen map so both the ways i will be showing how you can get the total google maps on your Amazfit Gtr 2e So first of all i am showing you with the simple direction option. So in this i am selecting simple direction in the settings you can set the picture quality is high quality or low quality so i will recommend you to keep it low quality and after that the options are pretty simple like remind mode like how much time the watch face will be updated in the Amazfit Gtr 2e with the current map and also set a custom vibration if you want by clicking on this vibration icons.
So if you want to set any custom vibration you can do that so let’s see how this is working with the simple direction mode and how the map will look on the Amazfit Gtr 2e let’s go to the maps option here again i will be starting the direction option in the map so if i click on this start option so let’s see whether this is working or not you can see the watch face is transferring and it is very very fast on the Amazfit Gtr 2e.
It will take a little bit time like few seconds and after that it will be transferred so the simple direction option will be like this you can see that whatever d direction it will be showing on your map so from where you need to go or from where you need to turn everything will be showing on your Amazfit Gtr 2e itself you can see it is showing me with an arrow just like this map and as it is nearby the location is nearby from where i need to turn so it is showing me zero meter so which is really really great you can get all the direction updates on your Amazfit Gtr 2e itself. So now let’s see how we can transfer the full map onto your Amazfit Gtr 2e to it. So for this again you need to come to notify app and in the notify app in the map section, you will get this option of picture where you can select this full screen map. So click on this ok and in the settings i will recommend you to keep it as low quality because it will be uploading a little bit faster whichever maps you will be viewing in your phone so let’s see how it looks on the Amazfit Gtr 2e itself i will do the same thing here so i will be starting the journey and it will show something like start recording or casting with notify for Amazfit. You just need to click on start now so you can see it is transferring the map on the Amazfit Gtr 2e and it will take few seconds to get the map on your Amazfit Gtr 2e itself you can see the map is displayed on the watch itself now and you can see the direction whatever direction you will be in it will show on your watch itself so if i have come to some location and the map has changed and the exact screen of the map will be transferred to Amazfit Gtr 2e and you can set the interval in which it will get transferred so you will be able to transfer and navigate the google maps effectively according to your choice in the Amazfit Gtr 2e. This is the way you can get the google maps on your Amazfit Gtr 2e.
