Although there was uncertainty about whether the update would be available for the existing Nothing Phone 1 and when it would happen, Carl Pei has clarified that the update will indeed be released for Phone 1 in August.

He assured Phone 1 users that they would receive the Nothing OS 2.0 update by the conclusion of August.
