New Feature Added in Whatsapp to keep Disappearing Messages if needed.

WhatsApp has recently announced a new feature called “Keep in Chat” will come to Whatsapp soon and with this feature, users will be able to save disappearing messages in their chats if they want. This new feature will allow users to keep the disappearing messages in their Whatsapp in a straightforward way. Here’s more information on how it works.

This new feature is designed for some scenarios where important information is shared in a group or one-on-one chat but is meant to disappear after a certain amount of time. However, if a user wants to keep a message for future reference, they can do so by long-pressing it and selecting the bookmark option to keep it in the chat.

It’s worth noting that this feature was first included in beta tests and recently became available to beta users before its official release.

Some may question whether this feature defeats the purpose of disappearing messages. However, the answer lies in a “special superpower.” While anyone can choose to keep messages, it ultimately depends on the sender’s preference. If a user requests to keep a message, the sender will be notified and given the option to allow it. If they decline, there will be no way to reverse the decision. This means that senders will have the final say on how their messages are protected.

If a user chooses to keep a message, they can find it under the “Kept Messages” section in the Chat Info of the respective chat. These messages will be organized in a proper manner for easy access. If the user wants to remove a message from the “Kept Messages” section, they can do so by long-pressing it and selecting the “Unkeep” option.

Adobe FireFly AI is bringing powerful AI features to Video Editing and Images.

Gone are the days when an expensive TV studio, advanced equipment, and a team of skilled professionals were necessary to create high-quality video content. Adobe has introduced new video tools that allow users to enhance, manipulate, and edit videos by just typing a few words, potentially making it easier to us. In March, Adobe unveiled Firefly, an AI image generation tool that simplifies image editing without ruining the work of photographers, artists, and other creators. Firefly was trained exclusively on Adobe’s stock image site, public domain content, and openly licensed work.

Even with the apps like Photoshop and Lightroom, achieving the best image can require considerate talent and expertise. However, Adobe Firefly streamlines this process with the use of AI, to the extent that it can replace the real images clicked by the photographers. Users may only need to provide a description of the image and the image will be ready as per the AI. Although Firefly is still in beta, Adobe has said that the tool’s functions will extend to video editing as well, with certain features already identified. Adobe has guaranteed that the resulting videos will be “commercially safe” for the use which is really great.

Filters can alter the appearance of video clips, enabling users to cool or warm colors to create somber or upbeat moods, respectively. However, finding the best comes with experimentation and experience. With Adobe Firefly, users can achieve the desired effect by simply describing it through text prompts. They can also make detailed modifications to their clips, like brightening a specific subject’s face and also increases the contrast of the subject.

Adding text or title effects to a video can elevate its production value, even if it was made via AI. However, some animations often demand advanced animation expertise and knowledge of 3D rendering tools. With Adobe Firefly, users can describe the image or video, and the AI will generate the desired outcome instantaneously.

With Adobe Firefly, users can produce custom sounds and music that is tailored to fit a specific mood or scene that comes with the video. These will be completely original compositions and already cleared for commercial use and makes video making with music a lot more easier than usual.

Although Adobe has allowed selected users to access Firefly’s image tools through a limited beta program, the new AI video tools will not be available completely until the end of the year. You can join the beta program by visiting the below link.

Mi Band 8 Launched by Xiaomi with Improved Battery Life and Design

While the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Pad 6 received significant attention during the company’s launch event in China, many users were eagerly anticipating the details of the highly anticipated Mi Band 8. Fortunately, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 was unveiled during the event, featuring a recognizable design but with several new ways to wear the wearable. Without further delay, let’s dive into everything you need to know about Xiaomi’s Mi Smart Band 8.

Similar to its previous models, the Mi Band 8 by Xiaomi has a standard variant priced at 249 Yuan (~Rs 2,975) while the NFC variant is available at 299 Yuan (~Rs 3,575) in China. However, there is an early bird sale going on, which offers a 10 Yuan and 20 Yuan discount on the standard and NFC variants, respectively.

At present, there is no information available on the global or India release of the Mi Band 8.

Specifications and Features of the Mi Band 8:
Design:
Now, let’s focus on the design of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8. Despite the fitness band market being dominated by budget smartwatches with numerous features, Xiaomi has stayed true to its roots with this release. The Mi Band 8 still retains its pill-shaped design but offers slight improvements to enhance customization.

One notable change in the Mi Band 8 is how the watch strap functions. Unlike previous models where the strap covered the pill-shaped device, the Mi Band 8 features a new quick-release mechanism that allows for easier swapping of bands. As a result, the pill-shaped device now has a metallic texture available in black (with a black silicon strap) and gold (with an ivory silicon strap), as the engulfing bands are no longer present.

Xiaomi is promoting the Smart Band 8 as a fashionable fitness tracker, with the option to wear it with various accessories such as a pendant or a bean-shaped activity pill that can be attached to your shoe laces. The company emphasized the versatility of this wearable and how it can be incorporated into different styles and lifestyles.

Display:
The Mi Band 8 features a 1.62-inch AMOLED touchscreen, just like its predecessor, the Mi Band 7. It has a refresh rate of 60Hz, up to 600 nits of peak brightness, and a pixel density of 326ppi. Xiaomi has also increased its focus on fashion and offers up to 200 watch faces for users to choose from. These watch faces can be changed through the Xiaomi Health app.

At the launch event, Xiaomi mentioned that some users had attempted to play games on the small display, which piqued the company’s interest. As a result, Mi Band 8 now includes special watch faces that allow users to play games such as 2048, ping-pong shooter, and trivia.

Fitness and Health Tracking:
The Mi Band 8 offers similar health and fitness tracking features as its predecessors. It supports over 150 sports modes, including walking, running, cycling, weightlifting, swimming, and more.

However, the new bean-shaped walking/running tracker provides a wealth of new functionalities to the wearable. It allows users to track professional data such as stride frequency, stride length, ground contact vacancy ratio, ground impact force, and more. Additionally, users can attach Mi Band 8 to boxing gloves and use them like joy-cons to practice movements with rhythm games.

Battery Life:
Xiaomi has claimed that the Mi Band 8 offers improved battery life compared to its predecessor. The wearable is said to last up to 16 days on a single charge in standard mode, with the always-on display (AOD) feature disabled. This is better than the 14-day battery life of the Mi Band 7. However, enabling the AOD feature will reduce the battery life to around 6 days on a single charge.

In addition, Xiaomi has stated that the Band 8 supports fast charging, allowing you to fully charge its 190mAh battery in just one hour. The device comes with a magnetic charger in the box, which is a great addition.

Although there were rumors, the Mi Band 8 Pro was not unveiled. What are your thoughts on the improvements made to the Smart Band 8? Are you interested in purchasing it? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.

According to Spiegel, after analyzing conversations, Snapchat found that 99.5% of My AI’s responses comply with their community guidelines.
