A lot of new features are getting added in WhatsApp and recently WhatsApp application has added features like chat lock, message editing, material UI, and much more. Now, the company is introducing another new feature called Channels within the WhatsApp messaging app.

WhatsApp has introduced this feature which will provide users with a simple and secure way to receive Dean important updates from organizations and individuals in the app. These channels will be displayed in a separate tab called Updates, ensuring it will be different from regular chats with friends, family, and communities.

According to reports, WhatsApp channel admins will only have access to send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls to their channels. These conversations will be unidirectional, meaning users won’t be able to respond to these messages, which means they will only be able to view them.

To join a channel, users can use invite links or QR codes shared via chat, email, online posts, or other platforms. Additionally, WhatsApp is working on a searchable directory that will help users discover channels based on their interests, such as hobbies, sports teams, and local updates which can open a field of opportunities.

WhatsApp is committed to maintaining privacy and security for both channel admins and followers so that users can make the most out of it. The company aims to create the most private broadcasting service, safeguarding personal information from everywhere.
